1.Does the System Require Venting?

Yes. Proper venting is essential for performance. The system must be connected to a vent line that allows two-way air movement and complies with local plumbing codes.

2.What are the benefits of installing a basement toilet system?

Benefits include: • Adding a bathroom without major concrete demolition • Lower installation complexity compared with traditional basement plumbing • Flexible bathroom placement options • Ability to install toilets below the main sewer line

3.What happens if the pump loses power?

If a basement toilet pump loses power, the macerating system will stop operating because the pump requires electricity to move waste from the toilet to the existing sewer or drainage connection. The toilet itself may still have water available for flushing, but the waste will not be pumped away without power. If there is a power outage or the pump is disconnected: • Do not flush the toilet or use connected fixtures (such as a sink or shower) until power is restored. • Waste will remain in the macerating unit until the pump can operate again. • Repeated flushing without power can cause the system to overflow because the pump cannot discharge the wastewater. • The system will resume normal operation once power is restored, assuming there are no other issues. To help prevent problems during power interruptions: • Make sure the pump is connected to the proper electrical supply. • Avoid using extension cords for the pump. • Consider installing backup power protection if your area experiences frequent outages. • Educate household members and guests not to use the basement bathroom during a power failure.

4.do you have a unit that does not need a vent system

No, all units must have venting. The vents serve a very important purpose for plumbing. Rather than carrying water through the pipes leading to the vents, these pipes carry sewer gases. This way, they are safely removed from your home rather than getting backed up and potentially making you sick. Plumbing vents also help to bring oxygen into your plumbing system, which assists with the aerobic sewage digestion that is necessary for breaking the waste down. In addition, the vents help maintain the water seals in the plumbing traps, which prevents sewer gases from getting into your home. Without the help of plumbing vents, water and waste would not move properly through the pipes in your home. This is because the venting helps to maintain neutral air pressure within the drains. As a result, gravity is able to successfully pull the water and waste through the pipes and drains. In addition to having proper venting in place, the pipes must also maintain the proper downward slope throughout the home in order to have the proper flow.

5.pump does not shut off

If a pump wont shut off it is probably the float valve stuck in the up position. As the pump container fills with liquid it triggers a float that indicates it is filled to the point the pump should turn on. The float is probably stuck in the filled position.

6.Does it just sit on the basement foor

You can use masonry anchors to secure the toilet to the concrete floor. These can be found at most home improvement stores.

7.how do I track an order?

There should have been an email sent to you with the tracking information, if you can't find it please call into the office. A customer service rep would be happy to give you the tracking number and inform you of the expected arrival date.

8.What is a Macerating(Upflush) Toilet System?

A macerating toilet system uses a built-in grinder pump to break down waste into fine particles and pump it upward into your home's existing sewer line. This allows you to install a bathroom in locations where traditional gravity plumbing isn't possible, such as basements.

9.Where Can a Macerating Toilet be Installed?

These systems are ideal for basements, garages, lofts, guest houses, and other spaces where below-floor plumbing is not available. They allow you to add a bathroom without breaking concrete or relocating major plumbing lines.

10.Can I Connect a Sink or Shower to the System?

Yes. Many macerating toilet systems can accommodate additional fixtures such as sinks and showers, allowing you to create a full or half bathroom using a single pump system.
