Product Details
Rear outlet toilets are also referred to as rear-discharge, back-flush, or “P-trap” toilets. Back-flushing toilets are an ideal option when a ground-flush model will not work. A standard toilet has an “S-trap” internal configuration, where waste exits downward through the toilet into a sewer system that must be located below the toilet.
In basement and first-floor applications, a macerator pump (not included) is required for proper drainage. The only time this two-piece P-trap toilet design can be used without a pump is when it is installed on a second floor (above ground level). With a rear-outlet toilet, you don’t have to tear up the floor to connect your plumbing. Installation and repairs are easier because there is no need to lift the toilet, which can disrupt the wax seal.
Another benefit in smaller bathroom applications is space. Rear outlet toilets tend to be slightly narrower than standard models. When every inch counts, this design helps create a greater sense of space between the toilet and vanity or the toilet and shower/bath.
Our rear outlet toilet kit is family-friendly, with a toilet bowl height of just 15 inches from the seat to the floor, making it easier for children to use.
These kits feature a half-flush and full-flush lever located on the side of the tank, helping conserve water and reduce costs. You can choose how much water is needed per flush, whether flushing liquids or solids. Lift Assure toilets also include soft-close seat lids, which help prolong the life of the toilet seat.
